B SIDE VHS STILLS presents a selection of frames extracted from the vhs portion of riley valentine's original INTRAVENUS installation. this zine slows motion into gesture, texture, and atmosphere, allowing each frame to function as a photograph in its own right. noise, static, and magnetic degradation are preserved as soft stills. B SIDE VHS STILLS is not a record of the exhibition- but a continuation of it, shifting vhs from fleeting spectacle into tangible artifact.

riley valentine is an artist and analog photographer based in chicago, illinois. she produces her work through the utilization of various photographic processes, placing importance on the intersection of the feminine gaze and photographic science.
